About IMPACT Trade Union
IMPACT is the Republic of Ireland's largest public and services trade union. Most of our 65,000 members work in hundreds of public service occupations, grades and professions in health, local government, education, the civil service, and voluntary and community organisations. We also represent members in commercial and non-commercial semi-state organisations and in private aviation and telecommunications companies.
IMPACT primarily organises in the 26 counties of the Republic of Ireland, where we are the second largest union. The Union also represents pilots and cabin crew members outside the Republic.
IMPACT is affiliated to, and active in, the Irish Congress of Trade Unions (ICTU), the single trade union centre on the island of Ireland.
We are also affiliated to a number of international trade union bodies including Public Services International (PSI) and the European Federation of Public Service Unions (EPSU).
Irish Fire and Emergency Services Association
A new website for IFESA, The Irish Fire and Emergency Services Association will be launching soon.
The Irish Fire and Emergency Services Association is a new body established to represent Fire and Emergency Personnel in Ireland. They also have a Facebook page.
N.R.F.A. National Retained Firefighters Association
While not a union the association represents the views of retained firefighters in Ireland and keeps them informed of developments which affect them. Firefighters can join a members only section of their site and obtain useful documents.
